In the Beginning …
Annie has nurtured a passion since the age of four when she declared, “I cannot live without flowers!”
Growing up in rural England, surrounded by rambling roses and wild hedgerows, her life changed dramatically after driving from London to Sydney in 1989. Annie studied Floral Art part time for two years while working in advertising. A colleague asked Annie if she could design her wedding flowers including those for the bridal party, church and reception. Though hesitant at first, all doubts were set aside on the day, when she witnessed the bride’s delight and the overwhelming approval of guests.
The impact was both immediate and far reaching. Those attending the wedding engaged Annie for their own functions and she has delivered weekly arrangements to the reception venue ever since
Established on 1st April 1992, Floral Designs by Annie Dixon has consistently provided a unique service in Sydney and has been commissioned for weddings and functions in the Blue Mountains and Hunter Valley.
